Guess who's the firing machine in my house? -- my mom.
My cousin was released after settlement, but he didn't come back. My mom sent the elder brother to hunt him down all the way in Wangsa Maju, and to bring him back for 'firing'.
It was at night, I was upstairs, I heard my cousins getting into the house, and that's it! My mom starting her shooting, right from the moment my cousin step in, for almost an hour! She started questioning, lecturing, scolding, warning... not at all what I've 'taught' her, through using reasoning or counselling :P
Nobody dared mess with the firing session, not a word from my dad, not a word from me. When my cousin finally came upstair, I didn't make eye contact with him. It must have been a long day for him.
When I went down again, my dad asked me "Did you hear that? Your mom is soooo fierce! She scold until she cried!"
I know, that's my mom. I've 'kena' almost the same sort of gruesome nagging before when I was just a kid!
Life went on as usual. I guess the massive bombarding from my mom sort of covered the whole episode of this drama. It must have gave my cousin the shock to see how overly 'concern' my mom and his mom could be. His mom has been calling my mom nonstop since 2am that day. My mom was scolding him on behalf of his mom as well. Hopefully my cousin will repent!
Previously: i started this blog in my early 20's... My life is complete now with 2 kids, a son and a daughter. I associate myself being a mother after getting pregnant.

My cousin sent to lockup!
This is tragic story about my cousin.
2am this morning, I was awaken by the house phone ringing downstairs, but my mom picked up the phone. After speaking in Hokkien for a really long while, she told my dad "Chee Ping went to lockup!"
That's it. Anyway, I went back to sleep and woke up in the morning to get the real story.
My cousin was caught 'lou chin' at Genting! &^$%*#^%&%^%%!$#@@$ (meaning cheating while gambling at the casino) It was recorded in the CCTV. With 4 other friends, he's now at the KKB lockup. He was not allowed to make any phone call, his mother (calling all the way from Taiping) got the news through one of her son's Taiping friend.
The entire family is going to blow up. But I'll keep my cool, infact I dont really feel sorry, although my parents might feel abit guilty for being irresponsible guardian. His mom is so angry with the son now, she refuse to talk to him (according to my mom). And my mom called me (in the office), to seek advise from me, how to handle this boy.
Ahem... yeah me the 'tai kar che' who can be most calm in any situation, and try deal with family problems impartially. I know this boy is born unfortunate, without the brightness that other average kids possess. A boy like him, who perform below average academically, cannot make sound judgement (due to non-exposure), cannot think for himself, do not have a belief, and probably do not know what the hell he wants in life.
What more is there to write actually, he's blacklisted now, and nobody know if the settlement with the police could be solved. Sometimes, I feel that a person need to 'learn' from his/her own lesson. I'm not going to ridicule him for now, but I hope it serves as a lesson for his mother too, to be more strict with him.
Yet, some relative told my aunty that he has his father's gene of depression, prone to insanity! DOH... everyone is 'mad' at some point in time...
Let's just say, no matter how rotten the one egg is, the whole family will have to be patient and hold him up. It's my grandma's birthday tomorrow, I dunno how disappointed she'd be if she'd heard the news. Other uncles and aunties may not directly feel responsible, but my parents would feel quite indebted.
This time, my wise dad would not make a sound to anyone, except ridicule my cousin when alone with me. My mom is clueless, and hoping that I could do miracle for her. My aunty must have burnt a hole in her heart.
And we continue to live on in this world... clueless.

"I like your spirit!"
Ahem, another one of those 'perasan' post :P
Was rushing (as always), to bank in cheque in Maybank at Section 14, but there's no parking! As I was driving my SLK alone, I double parked, gush down the car, hurried to Maybank.
From no where, this cute looking guy standing infront of Maybank, said "Mdm, would you like to buy these candle for charity?"
While rushing to get into the bank, I replied "No thank you!" without even giving a second thought.
Cute guy replied "You're welcome. I like your spirit!"
Grassp??!!! WHAT?!! I was already inside the glass door bank filling up forms and dropping in the cheque, and I know he's outside all the while. Then as I walked out, where by he's been standing infront of the door, he greeted me again "Nice meeting you! See you again!"
... something along those line. And I hopped back into my car... brimming... (I felt like my spirit just burst out from my body!)

Shoot yourself...in the mirror
Hai... I ask myself, "why people so vain?". Ahem, dont get offended. Maybe its me that's so not normal. First time I heard my gal-friend said, while we're hanging out in one of the girl's house - let's take a picture of ourselves in the mirror!
I go like WHATT?!? Why?! Not like you dont already know how you look like. Hey, isnt it associate with being vain? Maybe it is not wrong to be vain, I just have to accept people as just being the way they are. But it's so funny if you see how this boy do it! I dunno why but its just funny to me.
Atleast my vain brother would pose like a model infront of the camera, but I never see him shooting himself in the mirror like that! Another 'guy' I know you can laugh with me if you know him, my new workmate, he's a guy but on his MSN avatar his up-close picture of himself keeps changing every day, almost. A staring the sky pose, a head leaning against wall pose. I dont know if I should printscreen the MSN window and then upload his vain looking pose of his face. It's very comical to chat with these people, so not-shy of their looks (or pictures of themselves).
Enough for this post. Actually very wuliow of me to keep posting to my own blog, like talking to myself, what to do I dont want to do productive things now at work on a SATURDAY. I'm just counting the minutes to 1pm. (give me a break, i slept at 6am this morning trying to choke out this KPI definition, which the boss do not have time to go through it today. Doh).

Zone in to world of Jay Chao :P
I am crazy, for the last 1 hour or so, I was reading all about Jay Chao. Basically I wanted to know how old is he! Hey same age as me :P
Then I was thinking, wah Michael Owen too born in 1979! What a great year it indeed -- the year I was born too :) haha.
So zone in to Jay, if only I could play, the piano if I may, wonderously blown away.

Coconut head.

I wanna play!

My wallpaper now!

My SLK 7004 ~ AE86
Just a quickie, that I must admit I'm sucker for this 'cool' movie call ~Initial D~. Ok very lame, but hey the producer so smart! Casting all the coolest kids on the block to pull the female crowd, and all the guys will watch it for the *vVVVvrrrooommm!!!
After the movie, when driving my SLK home, I really felt like switching gear and stepping the pedals like how they did in the movies. I'm such an easily obsessed with something person! At the traffic light stop, when it turns green - vvrroooommmnnnggg...
What kinda mentality is that?! OK... I know im not completely a guy-brain type of person, when I was so choked up with watching JAY CHAO on screen! His acting sucks, but he's so nerdy until he's cool! I'm like WTF, you can CRY like that?!! OK I only imagine girls crying alone inside the car... wow... I just zoned back into when I was 12 or 13 just looking at Jay Chao.
Sei mei... I wonder who would NOT have enjoyed Initial D? :P

Not about her again?
Well, how not when I've been religiously following her blog? Hey, what if I link to her blog from here? No wait, then I'd officially be crazy. Yet, I dont really know what I wanna write about her now, except just sharing that she's such a staunch believer of God and that she's got her mom's blessing for her marriage to her Indian boyfriend that her family disapprove off. Until now, her dad is still angry with her, and she's clueless about how to get her dad to agree to her choice.
Once I visited her dad in her shop (yeah its only in Seapark, and I used to drop by her shop so often, everyone in her family knows me), after a really long absence. I just wanted to say Hi to uncle and hopefully to see that he's fine. Of course he's fine. He asked "so why you didn't find LH?" I said "I'm not talking to her anymore... because she's not the same LH that I know".
I think there's one silly stupid idiotic reason why I'm still constantly reading about her, I want to see how true is aunty Jenny (*the fortune teller) who said a turnaround will happen for her in 2008. *phew... im counting! Am I crazy or what??! How on earth could I be so superstitious? Actually I think I'm more skeptical, that's why I want to prove aunty Jenny wrong! Or otherwise. You know, as a science students, every theory / fact comes with experiment or prove.
Aunty Jenny said something really nasty abt her that I laughed it off, but that's way before I had problems with this ex-bestfriend of mine. Now... aunty Jenny is partially right. It's just in her birthday! Dohh...
My birthday??! ahem... if u wanna know what aunty Jenny said about me, well something I'd not disagree with - esp on the part where I'll "always be studying" since I'm a goat with the "grass" stroke on my Chinese name "ru". Goat is already grass-eater, and still my name got "grass" so even more grass I'll eat! Doh... Also the part she said I'm too straight forward. There's no turning.
Well, straight ahead, that's the journey I'll take. I just dont know how to turn left or right. Actually... if you're talking about driving - yes, I love straight road. In my speech, many people advised me to be more 'tactful', still learning it.
The flattering part, ok here goes, ahem... (hey perason sikit no harm), I'm smart?!! hahahah... ok. But, of course there's a but... dunno why she said, I can think alot but sometimes I think too much and get screwed up in my thoughts and she stopped there, no explaination. Sometimes there's just no answer!
Maybe the asnwer is left for me to discover thru my own experience, not for it to drop from sky. Yeah... the easy way out, who dont want. I always want the shortcut, the straight road, the easiest route!

So clever...
Ok ok.. puke if u want, yeah sometimes it's so easy to be flattered a.k.a. perasan.
Part 1: Was on MSN with this dude, chat half way from no where he said "So clever...".
Part 2: Same day, Friday. Felt really busy as I slowly fit in with the workload as the new girl. And we have to share 2 Dup* network PC with 4 of us in our team. I virtually sit side by side with my supervisor, using the Dup* PC for work, she using her laptop because her laptop lock got stuck on her desk and she couldn't unlock her laptop!!! (It's so funny when she said "I think i must be so stupid to lock my own laptop and dunno how to unlock it!"). Blahblah... towards the evening, she suddenly got his long list of 9993 assets with duplicated UUID (looks like MAC address but its not), and she trying to make sense of that long list, and ask for my help. Ahem... using Excel I only know how to auto-filter (wonder if the pivot table would help?!?):P no use. When ppl are looking at me, I cant really express myself. So when she's away from desk, I quickly export the list to Access and queried here and there, messed around with the SQL, and re-export back to Excel, with more reader-friendly data for her. Then she said, "wah you so clever..."
Point is, for me --laziness is the mother of invention-- Dont ask me to check one by one the 9000++ of assets for duplicated UUID?!?! Doh... I always try find easiest way to do things, else I wont do it the hard way.
Doh!!
Lame. I know.
