Contradictory vs Hypocrisy

Does being self-contradictory leads people to think that I'm a hypocrite? Not that it matters to me what other people think of me, just that I dislike pretentious people so its better if I do not leave any perception that I could be one.

Many a times, I try to seek answer to why am I a choleric yet still phlegmatic at the same time? Why am I laidback, carefree and easygoing... sometimes quiet when I don't like the crowd, but on a 180 degree turn I could be extrovert, bossy and fast-moving?

How can I say 'chinchai-lah' and say ok-lah, but on the other hand, I know that there should be good standard if not the best for improvements. How can I don't care and yet care?

How can I be ESTP for one online quiz and but ENTJ on facebook quiz?

Maybe at the end of the day, I know I'd rather choose to make things happen than watch things happen.

Makkal Sakti! The Rakyat has Risen!

Considering this is not a public blog, there's no need to report about the result and plucking commentaries from everywhere... and actually I'm speechless about this March 8 polling result, I still wish to pen down my personal story.

Friday evening, that was my last chance to attend the DAP ceramah, actually I'm quite a malas person and it was drizzling a lil, but somehow dad, me and sayang got the umbrella and head on to SS2. It was raining... I couldn't who's onstage because of the multi-colour umbrellas but I could only hear the speaker. I missed listening to Teresa Kok, but it was still worth coming out of the house to listen to Tony Pua, Gobind Singh and Haris Ibrahim.

There's this story about the Gardener and the Principal narrated by mr. Tony... funny how it didn't dawn on me earlier he was trying to refer to Chew Mei Fen playing the role of the Garderner instead of being a Principal. Anyway, everybody burst into laughter.

With this result where even Loh Gwo Burne can win... meaning you put anybody in the opposition party standing in the urban-chinese-majority seat also will win!

When they call for more volunteers for polling agent / counting agent, I went to register at the very last minute, and I didn't receive any instruction until midnight. When I turn up at 1pm-ish at Sri Aman school, the coordinator actually said all shift is taken up and I only need to be back at 4pm to standby as counting agent, since they needed 2 CA. Nah... how can they count both state and parliament at the same time? The schoolteachers-turn-SPR pengawas were actually quite blur, the KTM was also so afraid of recount, he reminded them to count slowly and accurately. I was eager to know if Tony won for that stream, so when the first few ballot votes reveal *phew... would be unbelievable if Tony do not win! This is a stream for people in their 50's and almost 80% votes went to DAP!

Even more exciting was Lau Weng San got even more votes than Tony Pua! Haiya... I'm already not serious with the counting agent role, can quickly balik rumah dah... but this pengawas was very slow... I'm like faster faster faster already know DAP win liow... half way thru counting I was smsing my dad and uncles already.

While the Singaporeans went for the Jewel of Tibet musical in Istana Budaya, I had to attend my coursemate's wedding dinner in Puchong. It was abit rude for the wedding couple as nobody really paid attention to the wedding, but the topic at the dinner table -- who won where? The phone calls, the sms that kept pouring in...

Anyway, something I'm abit annoyed with is the fact that I receive 'warning sms' about staying clear off the street, and when sayang received those messages he relayed it so boldly to fellow friends... like what happens to Kalama Sutta? Why believe in any sms received without verifying the source? Why do I feel the need to tell all the people off -- do not fear and do not spread rumour whatsoever. I understand why we should learn from history and opposition should not'celebrate' victory so as not to provoke the Malays -- DOHHHHH!

Why if they win they can celebrate and be proud, but if other ppl win must be humble and stay calm and not celebrate. Is this fair? Why they can rampantly provoke other ppl but you are advised not to provoke them. Doesn't it sound toooo childish to hear this, let alone anybody to 'suggest' this, wherever the suggestion come from.

I was in the street in Bkt Bintang KL until way past midnight, having supper with the Singapore friends. Even they are oblivious to any rumour or any protest. I guess Daryl, the Spore tourguide said it best "I think the Malaysian people are now mature..."

"Hello, can I speak to QSI?"
"QSI no in the house! You is who?"
"I just want to speak to QSI..."
"QSI no in the house! I know you is who... you is Joon jie jie!"

I love my Mulu trip alot...

[warning] probably wont finish writing this in one sitting its gonna be 1am and im sleepy already... brrr.. maybe i shall just use the fotopages to explain all the pictures and story behind it.. rather than using lotsa words to describe...

Maybe I could just give rating ::

Miri - 5.8/10
Mulu - 10/10
Brunei - 1/10

For sayang he said ::

Miri - 5.8/10
Mulu - 7/10
Brunei - 7/10

And then i go WHAT?!? Brunei so high score?! Ok the only reason why I gave in to the idea of even going to Brunei is because sayang wanted to go 'just because' and because we have a driver who so willing to drive us into Brunei for a day trip and back! Its like driving to Melaka for the day and come back. Ok I'm not really a car person... not a mosque person... not really a 'just because' person... so I was not so excited abt Brunei...

BUT I'm so so so so overwhelmed with the caves in Mulu - world heritage site. I wouldn't go again because of all the tiring walks... but it was worth experiencing it once in a life time. The Garden of Eden was OH-MI-GGGGGG! The experience talking to the Penan guide abt my age was interesting. The meetup with an MPO cellist on the same trip was fun! The longboat journey was exciting (remind me of my white water rafting the week before). The beauty of Sarawak rainforest & nature -- breathtaking.

In total we walked for more than 20KM in 1.5 days! The millions of bats fly-swirling in snakey formation in the twillight sky -- so unique!

What was there in Brunei that was worth shouting for? Like errr.... non. Oh well maybe 'yay we found a Seng Gong temple in the heard of Bdr Seri Begawan!' hahaha. (ok sayang have this great affinity with Seng Gong *respect respect*). Of all the chinese or buddhist temple in BSB, there was only one, and its not exactly Buddhist temple its Seng Gong temple!

Miri -- the best shout out -- AYSL -- my sun sch buddy. She's the reason of Miri. Miri wouldn't be Miri without AYSL! We were given nickname "Mulu maid" by her... because we helped her to clean her teacher-quarters-flat while she was teaching in school (after we came back from Mulu). So she's the madam, we're the Mulu maids... mam brought us around the whole town, virtually visiting every chinesey-buddhisty places. Best of all trying all the Miri-only makan! I think AYSL is already transformed into a Sarawakian from the way she speak her Malay!

So that's about the round up of my amazing Miri-Mulu-Brunei trip ;) Anybody who knows AYSL should go visit her before she gets transferred back to peninsula!

By this time...

I get aggravated when people start talking politics with me, when people don't seem to understand why they shouldn't vote for the charming cute CMF. Can make my heartbeat so fast and fuming inside.

Maybe a big part of my problem is when I don't see the point from the other side. I don't see why would anyone join MCA or support MCA (unless they're being forced to like my uncle). My uncle is MCA life member only because he's being forced to by his former boss. How about people who's not being forced to join MCA? I was brainwashed by my family since I was born, to deny the ruling party the 2/3 majority. So I could never understand why support MCA? So TAR college is a big deal? Why should there be a need to have a 'chinese' college / uni if there's so many public uni?

What kinda world is my country living, if I have to give to the 'law' that is ammended to suit the likings of certain kind? I've always thought that my parents are quite poor (there's no way I get to go overseas or private college after form5) but I know of my Malay friend in school who is richer than me, who get to enter straight to UM right after form5?!! Err... I thought we got almost the same result... how can I remain genuine friends with her without feeling the pinch? Why is my beloved country pinching me?

I hate it when things are unfair... I heard it so many times, that life IS unfair. I'm not going to Karma here, becos I don't understand why Dhamma speakers never touch on politics. Do monks vote? Is it right to vote for a party which is known to be corrupted? Does it result in bad karma? I believe Karma is still at work in the development of this country as a whole, when we see the growth (or slow growth) of this country as compared to the rich natural resources that we boast to have. What we learn in geography in school, all the timber, oil, rainforest, nature, people, sunshine, peace... why is my country ringgit currency depreciating against the Sing dollar? We have relatives in Singapore island, why are they super smart and we're dumber? Why must the smart ones take up ASEAN scholarship and go to Spore and then settle down there?

I can relate to many many opposition politicans from either the DAP or PKR or even watchdogs... but why are there so many people who voted against the Barisan-Rakyat (before)?

I wish RPK or Haris Ibrahim can become the Prime Minister, Fong Po Kuan become the deputy PM. Tony Pua become Minister of Education. Jeff Ooi become Minister of Energy, Communications and Multimedia. Anwar become errr... Minister of Finance? LKS should learn to relax and enjoy the fruition of his great cause, or made Tun Tan Sri LKS.

On another note... I had a weird argument with my one of a kind brother. He didn't register to vote, but he's feeling the hype of the election, so in order to 'do this part'.. he decided to culik all the email contacts (including that of all from my addressbook) and spam everyone a youtube link abt a Buddhist temple demolition with a grammatically wrong comment coined by himself. I don't know if its being sent already... talking to my bro is like chicken and duck talk. He think he's doing it right by spreading the word around to as many people as possible (by grabbing every and any email addresses he could grab without filtering)... I found Thai friend's email... i found my ex-cllg email... like wtf?! What are you doing bro?! What if you're sending stuff to my boss who's probably not Buddhist and urrrgsssgh... my bro replied "so? you're so scared? what are you scared of? this is how we can spread the words to as many people as possible! What are you scared of?"

$%#$&%*$#^$%@~!@#$*^ without my knowledge you're spamming all the people who know me?! And you call this "doing something big to support the opposition party"?

Yes was his blunt reply... he said "you don't know me, if I want to do something, I will do it as big as I can... I can even print this out and give it to all the people...."

I give up... He lives in the I-believe-I-know-I-can-Amway world, I come from another planet. I'm still disappointed I couldn't get my own bro to register to vote, and my bro shooting me back for 'being so scared' to spam all my friends video link that my dad showed him. (aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Oh well... I live in a world with people come from all perspective. People who I'll never understand, and people who'll not understand what I'm trying to say.

Quote sayang "let go...."
