It was a camp based on we being rooted in the 5 precents, with a theme ~ Calm Islands in Stormy Seas ~
There the committees were trying to advocate the importance of upholding the 5 precepts and being grounded with good values, there I was coaxed into giving false speech in the midst of making police report of my car accident.
On the 1st day of camp, in the morning, I was being ridiculed for asking one participant to wait at KJ LRT instead of asking him to wait at SJ KTM (ok I know how silly this sound, but I wasn't really thinking, cos I rarely put my brain in good use). So in the early morning heavy traffic with everyone rushing to work, I was caught in a crawl all the way to KJ LRT trying to pick up one participant. On the LDP, it was stop-and-go situation, the old van infront of me suddenly stop, I stepped on my brake as hard as I could, but the Honda civic behind of me just slammed into my car, as if he didnt apply his brake!
That's not it! Somehow, my car was thrust infront and my slk was sandwiched btwn these 2 sturdier vehecles. Ya-allah.... in split second, I took out my namecard, exchanged namecards and jot down the carplate number of both vehecle and advised the driver to banged to me make police report.
BUT the malay dude infront of me do not want to report, cos his van bumper was only minorly scratched. He only ask for rm40 or rm50. I said ok, just call me for it. So both me and Honda driver agreed not to involve the van infront. How silly is that?!??!
I was trying to 'help' the vehecle infront, by not mentioning his vehicle in my police report, AND the motor-insurance people made a helluva fuss with me! How am I suppose to claim and pay for the front damage which is MORE severe than the back of my slk?!? OK, it didn't occur to me the front is more costly mah! Cos my slk was still running, the engine didn't die.
I still manage to drive my car away from accident spot, to pick up the participant. But dad came to rescue, well to switch car with me, so that I could send the participant back to camp.
Then I went about with camp stuff, it was a very high-spirited camp! If last camp was very hyper, this camp is almost the same energy level bt with LESSER participants! Imagine having 50-odd participants, still the spirit & noise of the participants is just as havoc as last camp.
Bro. Oh KL said we were like some black-society of something, he too had never seen such a hyper bunch of INCOVARians through all his years of being guest speaker. On the closing of the camp, I was the MC, honestly I didn't prepare. I dont really know how to close the camp on a high note, but the people are already very 'high'. I just have to say a few words of thanks, and gather the committees & faci for a last round of INCOVAR-Love-You cheer, and that's it!
They just went on and on singing igemz songs, and the We-Inspire song and just swayed and held hands and... I dont care liow...
I just had to get on to my dad's car who came to pick me up 4pm sharp to head on to the police station, to further 'edit' my police report. It was a camp that I learnt to keep my precepts, but there I went to the police station again, to ahem, do some magic.
I didn't really know 'how' to do the magic, I got my bro to come help me. You know when you shake a hand, something gets transfered from one hand to another.
Anyway... I learnt my lesson, to tell the truth. I mean, I wouldn't have to return to the police station again, and let the insurance people / my parents nag me, if I were to report the whole accident as it is. No need to be hero.
To my SLK... I'm sooooo sorry for you. My dad will seriously consider writing it off. Sigh... Omituohuut! (Bro. Oh Kim Leng never fail to impress us with his gila jokes and amplifying the energy of the participants!)
Previously: i started this blog in my early 20's... My life is complete now with 2 kids, a son and a daughter. I associate myself being a mother after getting pregnant.

pointless...
ppl ask why I dont have update on my blog? I also dont know why. see the way I write is totally completely pointless.
i wanna complain abt my workshit, but then nothing that I cant handle. Cos at the end of the day, I just do my job within my capacity and I have nothing to worry about. Just wished that my teammeate would not go MC or on leave so often, that I find him completely useless. My teamlead is still on a long confinement leave, and my teammate has not resigned. I've been working alone for my team for these past few days, solving problems together with vendor and even joined conference with delivery manager.
i was sounded as being 'monotonous' and I think I better take note of that and try to speak more professionally and fakely in this business sense. you know how I talk to bosses, except when I'm talking to chinese-speaking engineers from China/taiwan, basically my english sound so monotone, I came to realise it myself.
"How's work today?"
"Normal"
Normal?!?! My SG boss got the idea that I am so blunt. I guess I really dont make sales person or consultant if I continue being sooo 'serious' with my words used.
With the girls, I dont see myself talking about hair, baby, the tv drama, clothes, the shop the whatever.
Even when I talk to enduser on the phone, esp guy from AU, they'd suddenly ask me "how's the weather in Malaysia?" what goes thru my brain -- what do you want to know what's the weather like in Malaysia? Like you didn't already know the weather is always either raining or fairly bright sunny.
Anyway, I humbly obliged and talked abit about the weather too.
oh dear me, I'm going pointless.
at the end of the day, I'm still me. that's who i am.

'Jangan Potong Saya'
I received this SMS from my mom:
"Ah Ma was cornered by 2 Indian guys with knife pointing her neck right infront the house while opening gate lock & cut off her gold chain & pendant. Very lucky she was not hurt. She told the guys -- jangan potong saya! -- and she did not struggle."
*phew... my grandma is fine and unhurt. I said my thank you prayer that grandma is safe, but I cant help visualizing my grandma speaking bahasa.... very funny one... you have to converse with her to know what I mean.
See la... wear gold chan for what. Shoot.. I think I'm wearing a golden looking necklance that is quite worthless but if I ever encountered 2 men with knife point at my neck, I will freeze too! And repeat : Jangan Potong saya!
My friend who was taekwando black-belt also didn't put up a fight lah when she was cornered...
Ah... Malaysia, my beloved country. No where else in the world, you hear of such cases happening with so high frequency.

Wait and see...
Wait and see,
what's in store for me?
Twist and turn,
when will I get burned?
Suddenly,
somebody found me.
Enchantment,
sent down from heaven.
Whatsmypoint,
now my words dont seem to join,
How to write,
with insecurity I fight.
My teamlead lost her baby,
My teammate got new offer that pays handsomely.
Should I even care?
These politics and corporation affair.
Am I guilty...
for wishing for this opportunity?
She's on confinement leave,
He plans to go earlier by clearing his leave.
Its my life,
for love and future I will strive.
What's in store for me,
maybe I shall wait and see.

Hello Uncle!
Remember I wrote about not greeting my left side neighbour, one day neighbour kak Siti called out to my mom excitedly, and couldn't wait to tell my mom this:
(in Indonesian language)
"You know that day uncle started calling me so excited from outside of the house he run into the house and call Siti! Siti! I was so worried wondering what's wrong, then uncle said : Ah Joon call me! Ah Joon call me! Ya-allah... I thought what happened, uncle was so excited over Ah Joon calling him!"
My mom rofl. I had just made one old uncle's day by intentionally calling him, when I saw him outside the house while I brought Bobo go shit.
Sampat people everywhere...

Whoaah...
Whoaah what? Belanja a rinpoche & a lama dinner at a banana leaf rice restaurant... sei mei. An Indian restaurant with many people, before makan rinpoche & lama clasped their hand together and started prayer before meal :P Too bad I had a camera with me, so I had to take a picture. Think its must be awkward/disrespect for rinpoche & lama... but anyway -- we're speaking Mandarin, with Tibetan monks eating Southern Indian food in where else but Malaysia! :D
Hey, must learn more Buddhist term in Chinese language!

This week's round up...
Before I start, wishing you all Happy Deepavali & Selamat Hari Raya!
Next, I've got stuff to write about but I dont have a PC at home now if I need to online, I need to bring my laptop to Starbucks and waste rm10 on a Frappucino. Hey that's what I need on Sunday night, as I couldn't take it anymore - to idle in the house without network access. I need to get a AP router asap! Hai.. since I'm at it, might as well beli untuk bgf...
*dont ask me what happen to my home PC, I didnt even know what's the difference btwn SATA and the other HDD, I forgot what's it called*
Monday night -- I rushed from work to BMV to interview the new chief then supposed to rush back BGF but end up picking up Ade first. Since the mtg at BGF will be delayed, I took the liberty to bring Ade home to makan dinner la... mana tau reach BGF, they're all late. Even the trainer also lewat.
The point of the 6 Hats training :
- why not u just go read the book, or I'll photostate it for u since I'm having the book.
- the end of having this knowledge, is for us to be able to manipulate ourselves or others.
- by knowing ourselves first, then we can decide what we want to be next, to change / improve.
- (i agree with this phrase that alextan said einstein said, but I forgot to write down :P) something like 'If you've always did what you did, dont expect a different result'.
My thinking hat colour is white. The Buddhist mentality. I am so easy to be read / analyzed by people, but I also can read / analyze people impartially easily. That doesn't mean I will judge people, cos that's the function of the white hat! How is THIS going to help ME in my dealing with people? As long as I remain wearing the same hat all the time and not make a change, I wont go further. *why is this like all those sales talk that I attend, they always motivate you to CHANGE to improve to reach greater heights!*
Tuesday night -- 1st of a series of unit trust training for new sales agent. I'm so relunctant to be there. In this aspect I'm always contradicting myself. I want to sell unit trust to people, but I'm lazy to attend training, lazy to get motivated to keep up to other ppl's expectation of my performance. I just wish to be a small time agent, servicing close friends and relatives, never having to go out to make cold call, and no need to try too hard to meet a certain sales target! As long as I know how UT works, which is the best fund and lock in / out at the best time... what so difficult right?! But the training series will kill me although I can totally see the goodness in their structured agent performance monitoring system, I dont wanna be monitored! How can I defy my own white-hat attitude?!
Wed night -- went to the Attic in Bangsar. Dont ask how I got there. But lemonade-looking rum with greenleaves tasted not bad.
Thu night -- got back early, too bad had to miss a chance to have dinner with Wahchai koko who came down from SG. Eewww... cannot imagine calling somebody 'koko' but this distant cousin is older than me mah! At programmers mtg, nothing much to say, except that I could make people laugh by doing a stupid shoulder massage, that I learnt from the UT training.
Fri night -- that's tonight! It's not here yet, but I'll have to buckle up and produce the interview report with new chief, indefinitely! I'm sooo behind schedule, I am miss Procrastinator, the interview was MONDAY and I've not even typed it out! Luckily I can read my own handwriting. The funny thing I wanna share is how new chief would talk about his idea of how he thinks he's now expected to perform up to the level of the late Chief, not only for the devotees of the vihara, but it involves the community nation wide!!! I'm like what?!? How is ur role as chief of vihara means you're expected to be chief for the nationwide?!?? *ok I didn't stop him from talking, cos I didn't even intend to ask this question, another teacher who tagged along with me got him to speak on this subject*.
Aiya... just simply hantam and vomit out my interview lor.

Knowing You
~*~ by John Pizzarelli
I know that I will never fall for a girl named after seasons
I know that I'm often late and will not give good reasons
I met a girl do all the driving
I live my life without skydiving
And when you go its hard to survive until the day is through.
Just know that I will always think there's a better table
I wont take down the christmas tree or ever hook up cable
I'll tell the punch line in advance
I'll never purchase leather pants
And my idea of romance was ..(cannot get this word).. and few.
I read a story long ago
Said you can try to make love grow
But when its right, you'll always know like I knew when I met you.
I read a story long ago
Said when its love you'll always know
Right from the first hello like I knew when I met you.
Please know that I am not incline to put away the laundry
That balancing my checkbook tends to leave me in a quandary
I greet disaster with a grim
Be by your side through thick and thin
You're where I am then I begin a fairy tale come true.
Knowing you
Knowing you
Knowing you.

Not greeting my mom 'aunty' :P
My mom is always picking up on me, even my friends... So there's CO who came to my house, but didn't greet my mom (or something like that), so my mom was telling me "why your friend didn't greet my aunty?!".
Ok fine, so I told off this friend, next time when you come, must always call my mom atleast.
The next day (or the next thing I knew), my mom was laughing to herself telling me about what kak Siti's (next door maid) told my mom about what uncle Francis said about me -- 'ah joon very sombong, never call uncle!'
My mom had it. She saw it herself - what goes around comes around. Think she's getting the point now, not to kacau me about my friend not calling her!
So what about me not calling uncle Francis?! Aiya... even my mom knew that this uncle himself also very sombong, never really smile. So I grew up never calling this uncle, of all the neighbours that I'd greet, just dunno how to open mouth to greet this uncle lah. Everybody knows I'm friendly to uncle Rajah neighbour wut :D
