a hypothetical question

Would you..
A. work in an environment surrounded with smart alec and arrogant snobs, that makes you feel inferior.
B. work around with people who are not so brainy nor inspiring, that makes you feel agitated.

A was my previous working environment, B is my present.

if u work with fools, u will be able to stand out among all the fools cos u are not a fool.
working in B means, u can make a difference and standout be among the best and u will be able to be the best. u just need to stand out.

if u work in A, u will constantly feels agigated, and u will need to constantly strive to be the better person cos evryone is good. u have to be better. alex is in A...wakakakz...for a B people, u will gain more confident!

if i work in A, i wont constantly feel agitated at all, just feel anxiety & self-conscious but always subconsciously striving for excellence!

if i work in B, then i do get agitated or easily irritated when ppl ask stupid question, or dont understand simple email content. its quite easy to stand out so no challenge, no fun?!

i'd rather work in A than in B.

The reason is simple. In B, I do not have any outside push or motivation to better myself. Surrounding conditions affect my personality and work ethics as well. Imagine all your colleagues have a culture of breakfast every morning 9am-10am. If you're the only one who does not submit to that culture, you feel alienated and sooner or later you will be tempted to go into that mode.

But if you work with a group of so-called "obnoxious arrogant" smarts, you have the external push that drives you to better yourself and prove that you can also be great. Besides, being surrounded by a wealth of knowledge and skills brings about an opportunity to constantly better yourself and gain tremendous brownie points on your CV.

Agree with Nee Sern.
Although i wish to work in such a relaxing mode, I know that is not practical.
Stagnant means decay.
